I guess when 3/4 of the world's population live on rice, and that is the only demographic that is growing, it makes sense that it, along with other "natural" resources, would be in line for shortages.
It's time for North Americans to introduce the potato to the world.

Potatoes are for EATING?

But how do you eat the sweet and sour pork with a potato?
Looks like we need to suck it up and eat American rice/other types of rice besides just Thai rice (since they are controlling their exports) :p Thankfully we don't have Jap rice shortage!! Can't live without sushi..
